Through this program, children develop many abilities like playing skills, sharing, toileting skills and language proficiency among others. Specialists use these principles tackle maladaptive behaviors like aggression and self-injury. Parents prefer to work with competent ABA therapists with philosophical ideas as theirs in the execution of applied behavior analysis Alabama principles.

Behavior learning theory is a discovery by a scientist called Skinner. In his experiments, Skinner used food as a reward to cause behavior change in the dog. For example, if he wants the dog to go outside, he places food there, and the dog follows the food as it goes out. Therefore, the dog responds to the stimulant, food, which is the reinforcement or reward. To apply this, at the start, an ABA trainer may use snacks to control behavior before upgrading to other reinforcers.

To facilitate a faster-learning process, there has to be a repetition of the learning processes. The foundation of ABA is practice. Children can learn without help. The environment is a perfect venue where children can develop play skills, social skills, and language proficiency. To add on that, children with autism also enjoy learning from the environment. However, such children need a well-organized environment to make them as naturally as possible.

The main aim of ABA program is to set up an environment that serves both typical children and those with autism. The structuring of the environment is according to the guiding principles of ABA. Then, an ABA provider encourages positive rewards to enhance good behaviors. Applied behavioral analysis is a science, which has moderately proven that basics skills can develop in children with brain disorders in young age.

In short, ABA aims at highlighting the pre-requisites that allow a child to learn naturally. Apart from behavioral learning approach, children can learn naturally through other styles like explanations and models. They can even learn from other people without getting any assistance. According to scientists, children would not have autism if they were to experience unassisted learning processes.

There is not as much information regarding the application of ABA program. ABA trainers apply the principles to demonstrate many areas. These principles may either escalate or lessen behavior depending on the projected purpose. Nonetheless, the objective of every therapist is to effect constructive behavior such as eating, dressing, toileting, self-care and other public significant behaviors.

In ABA skill training program, parents play a fundamental role by providing vital information concerning the child, which helps in guiding the ABA program. The daily activities undertaken by parents at home also instill vital skills in children. From observation, significant progress is evident in children with vibrant parents who actively participate in these programs.

Many of the ABA sessions take place at home. The ABA therapists work in a stimulating surrounding and use multiple resources to make the learning process enjoyable. The ABA periods cover up to two hours each week. Hence, some parents source skills from these sessions to teach their children while at home. The skilled therapists network with tutors to heighten positive behaviors even in a school setting. This way, children will have similar experience both at home and in school.
